The Seven Deadly Sins - Sloth and Diligence Collaboration with Makeup Zombie

Well, well, well... Blogger certainly hasn't been cooperating lately, now has it?! The plan for posting our Sins and Virtues looks on Thursday totally went down the tubes yesterday when everyone realized Blogger was down and out. Read only mode. GAHHHH!

Needless to say, Makeup Zombie and I have been eager and totally excited to share our looks this week with you. We were foaming at the mouth this week, though not literally. And what happens?! We can't post! Oh noes!! However- now that we're up and live again... Let's get to the good stuff.

I'm Virtuous (HA HA HA!) this week, taking on:

dil·i·gence-
Is steadfast application, assiduousness and industry — the virtue of hard work rather than the sin of careless sloth.
It makes me great this week. With great care (in my truck) I applied the colors. I even manged to put mascara on without poking my eye (on my way to the orthodontist) and I have to say myself, this is a kick ass look. It's one of my favorite combinations for a neutral, easy, and well... Good look. Can I pull it off or what!?

I didn't bother to check the morning I left to see what my Virtue of this week was. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was Diligence! I thought for sure I was going to have to re-create my look in a totally different way. However, this sufficed just fine. I actually loved wearing this... It's one of my easy looks, albeit having to create it in a moving vehicle- impressive, is it not?! And look at that eyeliner- perfection! The only thing I'm not super-impressed with is the fact that I forgot to set the liner on my bottom waterline- so it's mostly worn off. But the shadow underneath my lashes more than made up for that oops! moment.

On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction's Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
Linnaeus Cosmetics Gemsbok Collection:
Kalahari on eye lid only
Fabled in entire crease, blended upwards and smoked out
Tough Stuff added to outer 1/2 of crease to darken, blended out
Also on lower lid tucked under my lashes
I used Stilts from LC as a brow highlighter
Wet 'N Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black on upper lid, waterline, lower lashes
Tough Stuff applied over eyeliner
WnW MegaPlump Mascara in Black

Face:
Stila Petal Infusions moisturizing cream
UDPP under eyes
e.l.f. Concealer/Highlighter Wand under eyes
Meow Cosmetics Pampered-Puss Foundation in Siamese Inquisitive
Physicians Formula Illuminating Blush in Vintage Rose

Lips:
WnW MegaLast Lipstick in 901B
e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips

I think I almost could pull off looking "normal"... But don't let me fool you. I'm a sly one for certain!

Now, of course... Every virtue has a corresponding sin... So I suggest you hurry on over and take a look at Makeup Zombie's take on Sloth... It'll leave you wanting more! Get on over and check it out!

Again, there's a picture I took where I thought I was smiling, or at least smirking... I didn't realize I look like I'm on the verge of tears. The ride to the orthodontist didn't hurt that bad!!! So in case you're wondering, I was fine. I have no idea why or how I make some of these ridiculous faces- I wish I knew. Perhaps I should start making one funny face, or a few, from now on?! Maybe that will stop me from looking like I'm about to burst into tears... Maybe.

Anywho- do you like it?!

I'm still half-and-half with my hair. I love it. I hate it. I'm fixing it! The conditioner I've been using is helping the dried out sections recover from the bleaching, so I'll take care of more in about a week. Yay!

  1. ooh - I've had my eye (ha!) on the gemsbok collection for a while - I think you've just convinced me I can't live without it. What conditioner are you using - my mom's hair is turning into straw from a medication she's using and she needs a good conditioner to repair it.

  2. @zillah1199: I <3 this collection! Kalahari is seriously one of my FAAAAVORITE shadows! I grabbed Herbal Essences Moisturizing Conditioner (blue bottles) and Shampoo and am pleasantly surprised with how well it's working, and before I showered I rubbed a few drops of olive oil into my blonde spots/ends to help replenish the moisture and oils! Works like a charm, every time!

  3. Mkaaay. Maybe my comment will work this time around! For some reason, Blogger didn't want to connect to any profile when I was commenting before!

First of all, want to trade hair colors? I'll give you my black and red and you give me that hotness on your head? Kaythanks.

Love the look. :) It's simple and neutral, but pretty! I always thought Stilts would look funny on my brow bone (Kalahari, too, which you've used in the past) but I might try it out. I'm sure there's a way to have it sheer! :D

Can't wait for the next look and series!

  4. I have almost the same hair style and color. I use Henna N Placenta conditioning treatment. It literally fixed my fried blonde streaks in one treatment.

  5. I love the soft blending of the eyeshadow colours you used! It gives a neat irridescent look!
