EOTD/FOTD- Technically, Yesterdays!

So yes.... Technically, yesterday was Tuesday. Mosaic class was switch-a-rooed, but I had fun coming up with another free form design... And I think I'll be working on it later on (technically) today. It's going to be pretty fun- mirrored pieces, iridescence, fun colors! Anywho- you'll be proud of me. I totally took pictures of my look today- since a) they're my first mineral matte shadows and b) they're my new e.l.f. Mineral shadows. That's right- I got my package on Monday! And (technically!) yesterday I got my package from Cherry Culture- I bought some Nyx while they were on sale over there, and before the "Anniversary Fail" Sale.

Anywho- I wanted to dig in to my matte shadows. I wanted smoky, sexy, spring-ish. In total- I was able to nab the 10 free mineral eye shadows from e.l.f. that were offered on sale until May 23rd. In order to do that, I had to order a certain (reasonable) amount of makeup... So I bought three of their new Matte Lipcolors, five of their new gel eyeliners, a stippling brush, and... I don't remember. I can't remember if there was something else. Huh. LOL It's late, my brain is fried! And yes, we were in my sister's car, driving with the windows down for the first time this season because it was finally not raining today- and the big yellow thing in the sky came out to say hello! It was amazing!!! Hence, the crazzzzzy hair!

On my face:
Arran Aromatics Moisturizing Cream
e.l.f. Highlighter/Concealer Wand
e.l.f. Complexion Perfection
Too Faced Illuminating Foundation Wand in London Fair
Meow Cosmetics Purr-fect Puss Foundation in Siamese Inquisitive
Physicians Formula Illuminating Blush in Vintage Rose

On my Eyes:
UDPP
e.l.f. Mineral Eye Shadows:
Temptress- Mauve on lid only
Innocent- Natural Highlighter, from crease to brow bone
Seductive- Black in crease, blended out to a soft wash
Physicians Formula Felt-Tip Eye Marker Pen in Ultrablack
Wet 'N Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner in Black
WnW MegaPlump Mascara in Black
Lips:
Random Mauve lip liner
e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose

And that's my look. Was my look. Oh yes... You noticed the sparkle.... Well, I just couldn't pass up the temptation of adding a little glitter to my eyes. The last package of Nyx products I'll purchase for a loooong while arrived yesterday. I totally got Candy Glitter Eyeliner in Hot Candy. I applied it to just the outer corner of my eyes, for some pizzazz!

I'm off to wash up now, and get to bed! I'm tired... And I have another cool look planned for tomorrow in my head... And I'm sure you want to see! The only thing I'm not crazy about with the e.l.f. mineral shadows is the fact they do contain Bismuth Oxychloride. Now, because it's only going on my eyes- it's not that big a deal. However, if it were foundation... That's a deal breaker. So if you have sensitive skin- beware! It's not done anything to me- and I'm pretty pleased at the quality of the shadows. Review on products upcoming!

Would you wear this trio of shadows? How bout the glitter?

The Seven Deadly Sins - Wrath and Patienece Collaboration with Makeup Zombie

I've been fighting my computer nearly all day, hence the late posting of this look. Actually, officially, it's Friday. GAH! Nothing would please me more than to take this computer, walk it outside to my driveway, lay it down, AND DRIVE MY TRUCK OVER IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN UNTIL NOTHING IS LEFT BUT A BUSTED MESS OF PC PIECES. I really despise working on a PC. But until a time comes where a MacBook Pro or Air magically falls out of the sky, I'm stuck.

Rant: over.

Sin this week:

Wrath (Latin, ira), also known as "rage", may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Wrath, in its purest form, presents with self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries. Wrath may persist long after the person who did another a grievous wrong is dead. Feelings of anger can manifest in different ways, including impatience, revenge, and vigilantism.

Wrath is the only sin not necessarily associated with selfishness or self-interest (although one can of course be wrathful for selfish reasons, such as jealousy, closely related to the sin of envy). Dante described vengeance as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". In its original form, the sin of anger also encompassed anger pointed internally rather than externally. Thus suicide was deemed as the ultimate, albeit tragic, expression of hatred directed inwardly, a final rejection of God's gifts.
So in lieu of words today, enjoy the pictures!

On face:
Arran Aromatics Moisturizing Cream
Meow Purr-Fect Puss Foundation in Siamese Inquisitive

On eyes:
Antoinette's Revolution Cosmetics Eye Shadows
Ladies In Waiting
Liasiaons
Guillotine
Revolution
Powdered Wigs
Physicians Formula Felt Marker in Ultrablack
WnW MegaPlump Mascara in Black

Lips:
Wet 'n Wild 911D

This is one of my "raccoon eyes" looks according to my folks. Whatever. I love how blue my eyes stand out when I have heavy liner on!

Of course, you can't forget the lovely opposite of my sin... The Virtuous Patience. Try to hold your laughter- I know, neither Wendi or I are the patient type. But we can at least pretend to be, right!? Head on over and check out her corresponding look!

Someone better be getting me some chocolate soon, I'm in serious mood swinging time and heads may roll. I think Pretzel M&M's will suffice. I've been eating them a lot.

And yes, this picture came out lighter/paler than the rest. I thought it highlighted the difference in my hair a bit better. As you can tell, the blonde is more the way it should look, the orange and brassiness mostly dissipated... And the red considerably lifted.
The Vitamin C Trick worked- look for it tomorrow!!!

The Seven Deadly Sins - Sloth and Diligence Collaboration with Makeup Zombie

Well, well, well... Blogger certainly hasn't been cooperating lately, now has it?! The plan for posting our Sins and Virtues looks on Thursday totally went down the tubes yesterday when everyone realized Blogger was down and out. Read only mode. GAHHHH!

Needless to say, Makeup Zombie and I have been eager and totally excited to share our looks this week with you. We were foaming at the mouth this week, though not literally. And what happens?! We can't post! Oh noes!! However- now that we're up and live again... Let's get to the good stuff.

I'm Virtuous (HA HA HA!) this week, taking on:

dil·i·gence-
Is steadfast application, assiduousness and industry — the virtue of hard work rather than the sin of careless sloth.
It makes me great this week. With great care (in my truck) I applied the colors. I even manged to put mascara on without poking my eye (on my way to the orthodontist) and I have to say myself, this is a kick ass look. It's one of my favorite combinations for a neutral, easy, and well... Good look. Can I pull it off or what!?

I didn't bother to check the morning I left to see what my Virtue of this week was. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was Diligence! I thought for sure I was going to have to re-create my look in a totally different way. However, this sufficed just fine. I actually loved wearing this... It's one of my easy looks, albeit having to create it in a moving vehicle- impressive, is it not?! And look at that eyeliner- perfection! The only thing I'm not super-impressed with is the fact that I forgot to set the liner on my bottom waterline- so it's mostly worn off. But the shadow underneath my lashes more than made up for that oops! moment.

On my Eyes:
My Beauty Addiction's Shadow-Poxy Eye Primer
Linnaeus Cosmetics Gemsbok Collection:
Kalahari on eye lid only
Fabled in entire crease, blended upwards and smoked out
Tough Stuff added to outer 1/2 of crease to darken, blended out
Also on lower lid tucked under my lashes
I used Stilts from LC as a brow highlighter
Wet 'N Wild Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black on upper lid, waterline, lower lashes
Tough Stuff applied over eyeliner
WnW MegaPlump Mascara in Black

Face:
Stila Petal Infusions moisturizing cream
UDPP under eyes
e.l.f. Concealer/Highlighter Wand under eyes
Meow Cosmetics Pampered-Puss Foundation in Siamese Inquisitive
Physicians Formula Illuminating Blush in Vintage Rose

Lips:
WnW MegaLast Lipstick in 901B
e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips

I think I almost could pull off looking "normal"... But don't let me fool you. I'm a sly one for certain!

Now, of course... Every virtue has a corresponding sin... So I suggest you hurry on over and take a look at Makeup Zombie's take on Sloth... It'll leave you wanting more! Get on over and check it out!

Again, there's a picture I took where I thought I was smiling, or at least smirking... I didn't realize I look like I'm on the verge of tears. The ride to the orthodontist didn't hurt that bad!!! So in case you're wondering, I was fine. I have no idea why or how I make some of these ridiculous faces- I wish I knew. Perhaps I should start making one funny face, or a few, from now on?! Maybe that will stop me from looking like I'm about to burst into tears... Maybe.

Anywho- do you like it?!

I'm still half-and-half with my hair. I love it. I hate it. I'm fixing it! The conditioner I've been using is helping the dried out sections recover from the bleaching, so I'll take care of more in about a week. Yay!

Indie Spotlight Review : Meow Cosmetics

Who's that sexy cat? The one with the flawless skin, those sultry eyes... Oh Meow Goodness! It's me!

I want to, no I need to tell you about a fabulous new find of mine. I've been looking for a great foundation, since my Physicians Formula Organics has been very difficult to find up here. So, I asked around, and just before St Patty's Day, I received a few suggestions to try Meow Cosmetics.

Now, finding foundation for my skin is no easy feat. I call myself the fishbelly white princess. My skin is so pale, almost all foundations make me look yellow, pink, or blue. It's not cool. Not cool at all. Most of what I've bought years before now have been given to either my sisters, or my Mom. Very little works for me. Now, I'm Italian and a touch of Irish, and contrary to popular belief, not all Italians are olive complexioned. My ancestors hail from the northern mountains of Italy- so we're fair skinned, and some even have lighter hair. (In truth, I am a natural blonde... Hard to believe, but it's true!) Throw a little Irish in from my Dad's side of the family- and there we have it... I get the fishbelly white gene. My sisters? Pretty ivory skin. My Mom? Beautiful beige complexion. Me? I get the palest of the pale genes in my entire family line. Most of my cousins? Olive skinned. Yep, out of a flock of ivory sheep... I'm the cotton ball white one. Ok, not that pale, but I think you get the gist of what I'm trying to say by now.

Well, it just so happened there was a sale at Meow's shop in celebration of the "Kiss Me I'm Irish" day. Since I'm impulsive, and totally impatient at ordering samples to match my skin tone, I browsed through the colors. I really don't have any undertones to my skin- I'm not yellow or blue. I'm just pale. At first glance, I knew the palest of the pale foundation would work. Click, it's added to my cart. I can't just order one thing. It's like opening a bag of chips- you cannot have just one. Sample baggies of eye shadows are a buck. One dollar. I snagged three. Reviewed order, paid, patiently waiting for my goodies to arrive.

When they did, my goodies were delivered in a well padded bubble mailer. Inside was the most adorable leopard print fabric drawstring bag with my products, and detailed invoice with a handwritten confirmation of my order signed by two people. Their logo on the top of the invoice made a very pretty personalization of what could have otherwise been a plain old paper with my order info on it- and at the bottom, a "handwritten Thank you for your order" which put a smile on my face.

The color I ordered was Pampered Puss (medium coverage) in Siamese 0-Inquisitive- palest one in stock! It has neutral undertones, so I knew it would work beautifully. Up it goes for closer inspection. The jar is shrink wrapped, which personally I love to see when I receive cosmetics. To me, it states that nobody has been able to tamper with the contents from when they were packed in the lab/workspace, stayed sealed on its way to me, and eagerly awaiting to be opened by it's new owner. It's a very good sanitizing practice. Once the wrap has been removed, I opened my container and was pleased to see a sifter sticker there. This means no product leaking out during transportation, and the risk for contamination in it is most likely zero. I had a very happy face!

When I fished the foundation out of it's cute little bag, I was impressed first off at the size of the container, and how much product was described as being in there. I know the product description online is explained- but for some reason, I couldn't quite think of how much foundation would be in there. When I actually held the container in my hands, I was very pleased by the packaging, presentation, and amount of minerals in the jar. Full size foundation jars are a whopping 3 ounce containers, while many other companies offer foundations in 30 gram containers. How much of a difference is that? A 30g container will hold roughly 3 tablespoons of product. Meow's 3 oz containers hold 22-30 grams of foundation, or a rough translation of about a 1/4 c of product. Which means it's an 85 gram container. Um, hello! Yes please! This will definitely last a while! Also note the full list of ingredients on the bottom of the jar- and the fact that the web address is there too for easy ordering next time!

And take a look at that lid! Sure, I think the logo and information on the top is wonderful... But flip it over, and it's a wonderful place to swirl your brush in, pick up the foundation, tap extra off and not have to worry about making a huge mess of things. Genius! The next day, I decided I was going to try it out.

I did my usual moisturize and concealer regimen before applying the foundation. I picked up some powder on my kabuki brush, and brushed my face with small circles. Since this is a medium coverage formula, I was expecting it to maybe be a bit more sheer as I've experienced with some other companies. I was pleasantly surprised when buffed into my skin, the color corrected and evened out my skin tone with very little effort from me. The best part about it? Once applied, it literally feels like I didn't put anything on my face! Some powders are heavier than others, and compared to my usual Physicians Formula Organics- this was like applying air to my face. And it covered beautifully. No visible powder on my face, except a spot on my nose, because I had wiped at a sniffle and it smeared some of it...  Yuck! Cleaned the smear up, and buffed right back out to perfection! No complaints in this department whatsoever. Hands down, at this time, I have to say this is the best foundation I've ever found and used. Additionally, you can purchase "Munchkin" sized foundations for when you're on the go and traveling. It's the same diameter container that the regular size comes in, but a lower profile 25 gram jar. They hold roughly 6-8g of product, and fit much better into a travel kit, especially if you're on the go and don't have the space to take a full container with you.

Now, I was very tempted to order some of the full sized eye shadows, but they run a little on the pricey side for my budget right now.  The upside to being pricey is actually a good thing- because full sized jars are 10 grams for the majority of the available shadows. And since I'm not exactly employed at this time, I was not able to splurge and get a full size... Or 10. Or all of them. So I picked out three samples to try from the Scandal Eyes collection. I just couldn't resist. I'm glad I didn't on this occasion, however I am looking forward to sampling some more of their colors, and discovering other products Meow carries. All products are swatched over Shadow-Poxy on the upper half, and clean bare skin on the lower half. Let's continue on to the shades themselves...

Scandal-Eyes in:

Neuter- Described on their website as Lemon Lime with Gold shimmer. Indeed- this is one of the most unbelievable gold-green colors I've ever seen. Applied by patting, you catch both colors when observing it. When blended out, the green tone becomes more apparent and darkens, while the gold hovers at the edges of where it's applied. A quick swipe of a touch more color, and you get the gold-green sparkles over the darkened green- and it's absolutely stunning.

Feral- Described on their website as Dark Grey. Applied to my skin it looks black, with sparks of gray and silver shimmers throughout. I have a feeling it's because I'm so pale- but I still enjoy this color as dark as it is. The sparkle in the shadow as the light catches it really is quite beautiful. When blended out, or worn without primer, the gray is more easily seen. It buffs out to a pretty dark gray color over primer, and even though it looks a little "streaky" in my swatch picture, to my eye when worn they had no such discrepancies. I think it's just my camera being finicky with me.

Prissy- Described on their website as a Smokey Light Grey. Exactly right on target with the description- and even prettier once applied. This color is a beautiful combination of true grey and silver shimmer and sparkle, and when blended out on the eyes it turns a slightly darker grey. It seems to be a pressure sensitive grey, which is why I think it darkens the more it's blended. Again, picking up a little more color on your brush and applying it back over the darker portion will restore that pretty grey back to it's lustrous glory.

To my surprise, there were also two free samples tucked into my package as well:

Ideal Eyes in Cat and Mouse- Described as a light Forest Green on their website. On my skin, the color applied is one of the most beautiful green colors I've ever come across. It's complex, it's beautiful, and surprisingly enough has a gorgeous pewter base. When blended out, it fades nicely with the pewter being more dominant than the green- but a quick swipe of a little more will put the green right back on if you want it! Here in my pictures, it definitely shows up as more pewter-toned, but trust me when I say this is a green eye shadow.

Tinted Glow Powder in Quartz- A wonderfully soft, subtle, transparent shimmer which gives you a faint blush of color and makes it seem like your skin glows naturally. It's light, airy and doesn't make you look "oily" like some tints seem to do. I know for myself, personally, when I've tried in the past to use glows, I end up looking like I need to put some powder on to cut down on shine. It's a disaster. This product, however, is the perfect balance between shimmer and glow. I can wear it and finally achieve that "dewy" look I've been after for years!

And here you have it- swatches, descriptions, eye candy and lots of pictures!

Pros:

Prices: Great-Excellent
Excellent pricing for the majority of Meow's offerings. The foundation is a fair price, considering how much product you receive in both sizes of the jars. All sample orders are a dollar each, and a maximum of two samples of the same item are allowed per order.

All Eye Shadows are 10g with roughly 2g of product, priced starting at $8 - 10.25
Vandal Eyes Shadows are 6g shaker jars for $7
While it may seem a bit much to pay that "much" for an eye shadow, consider the fact that these are hand made colors, and they're in larger jars than many other sellers offer. Typically, 5g jars are used and sold for around $5 as an average. So twice as much product, for less than half to a touch more than double I think is plenty fair to be charging.

Foundation's have three different coverage options:

Purr-fect is light-medium coverage
Full sized is $21.95, and Munchkin is $10.95

Pampered-Puss is medium coverage
Full sized is $23.95, and Munchkin is $12.95

Flawless-Feline is heavy coverage
Full sized is $26.95, and Munchkin is $14.95

Crystalline Cat Glows
20 gram jar with 7g powder is $15.95
10 gram jar with 2-3 g powder is $8.25
Sample bag is $1.00

Of course, there are a TON more cosmetics on Meow's site- but I only have these products so far!

Customer Service: Great
Since I was impatient and didn't want to try a sample of foundation before committing to purchase the full sized one, I didn't personally speak with anyone at Meow. However, I did notice on my invoice slip that two people did indeed initial my order- which means it was checked twice to verify that what I ordered would be delivered to me with the correct products enclosed. Awesome! That alone speaks volumes to me- paying attention to details.

Shipping: Excellent
I ordered my products on March 15th. Since there was a Saint Patrick's Day promotion (17% off orders), there was a disclaimer on the site that due to the possibility of a rush of high volume orders that they may be slightly delayed. My order shipped on March 23rd (notification by email), and I received it on the fourth business day later on March 28th. Safely in it's little bubble packaging... Rock on!

Presentation: Excellent
I was pleasantly surprised to find my products tucked carefully in a very cute leopard print drawstring bag. I think it's adorable and fitting that Meow Cosmetics uses leopard print fabric bags! It's got me wondering now if there are any different cat inspired bags... Like tiger, jaguar, etc. I also like that my invoice was neatly folded also tucked in to the bubble envelope next to the fabric bag.

Product: Excellent
My big jar of foundation was shrink wrapped, and had a sifter seal as well. Upon first looking at the baggies, I thought... Wow, those are pretty colors. They don't look so different than some other colors I have. How wrong I was! I've since learned that because of the bases used in colors, the matte color tends to stick to the side of baggies. Once they're opened up- it's holy cow welcome to sparkling, daring, and shimmering colors! The ones I have procured already and shown you above in my review, I will be ordering full sizes of them when I have the chance. The colors go on easily with hardly any fallout, and blend easily to lighten (or darken for pressure sensitive ones) the color, or to combine with other ones. They're definitely more intense when applied over eye primer, but are also pretty and subdued when applied without it. Scandal-Eyes are the glittery, shimmery packed shadows which are quite dramatic with their colors. Ideal-Eyes are pearlized colors and don't have the same dramatic shimmer and sparkle that Scandal-Eyes does- but it's no less pretty, I assure you! There are many different types of colors offered by Meow- glittery, sparkling, pearlized, matte, etc.

Con:

It would be nice to have a smaller eye shadow size to purchase from instead of only 10g or sample size, instead perhaps introducing a 5 gram jar.
This isn't a deal breaker for me and certainly doesn't affect my overall opinion of Meow Cosmetics, just something I wanted to note as a personal observation.

Conclusion:
Would I purchase products and/or recommend this product to others?
Yes, I absolutely would.
The foundation was the main product from Meow I wanted to try after hearing nothing but rave reviews from some of my online friends. I figured what the heck- I might as well try, right? Yes! I'm so glad I did. The Pampered-Puss formula goes on like a dream, blends into skin effortlessly, keeps shine down and provides the right amount of coverage I've been trying to find. Since I've been using it for a few days already, I've noticed an overall improvement of my skin as well- my blemishes are disappearing, there's less irritation and redness, it washes off clean each time... So whatever it is that's in this formula, I love it.  An added bonus is that once applied, your face feels like there's nothing on it! Score!
The eye shadows I used are so intricate and complex, it's hard to describe and capture how good they look on camera. Application was a dream, they were very easy to blend, and for the amount of shadow you receive in the jar for the price, it's well worth the money in my opinion.

I'll gladly recommend Meow Cosmetics to family, friends, and anyone else who asks! For those of you wondering, I'm wearing Meow's products in the pictures of myself scattered throughout my post. Foundation over moisturizer on my face.
Eyes:
UDPP Eye Primer
Neuter on inner 1/2 of eye
Cat & Mouse on outer 1/2 of eye
Prissy in crease and blended up to my brow
Stilts by Linnaeus Cosmetics on my brow as a highlighter
WnW ColorIcon kohl pencil in black on waterlines, and upper lid
Meow Cat Glow in Quartz on cheeks

Get your ROWR on ladies- it's time to be the fierce, sexy kitten that's begging to come out and play!

Have you tried Meow? What do you think about their products?

Indie Spotlight Review : Antoinette's Revolution Cosmetics

Well my lovelies, I have to report that my mailbox over the past week has been like Christmas to me! I've received some awesome cosmetics, and I've decided from now on I'll be sharing my "hauls" with you. Are you excited?? I am! Those will be shared via video- and since I haven't made one yet, I'm going to jump right in and do my first ever review on a company!

Antoinette's Revolution Cosmetics is an indie company that's planning on launching their Grand Opening on May 1st 2011. In the meantime, you can check out their Facebook Page which is currently up and running. Since the product isn't sold in an online store/website yet, you are still able to purchase from Rach by email. That's what I did... And since I'm impossible when it comes to choosing makeup, I knew what I was going to do! I did want to exercise some sort of control... Albeit very little. Buying makeup for me is like trying to pick out a pair of shoes I'm dying for which have 5 different colors. I don't want to choose, I want them all. So I picked 5 full sized colors, and decided the rest (for now) would consist of samples. (click pictures to see bigger photos, and more details!)

Pricing is excellent: $5 each for a full 5g container of product. Samples come in a baggie with a good amount of product- plenty to last more than a few looks. Very generous in my opinion! And as a special, you can buy any 5 full sized products for $20 (saving five bucks!). Shipping in the U.S. is $2.00. It's not stated anywhere I could find what international shipping would be.

I'll start off by showing you a look I created the day after I swatched these colors. On my eyes I have Shadow-Poxy from My Beauty Addiction and ARC's colors: Powdered Wigs on the inside corner of my eyes and my brow bone, Masquerade on my lids only, and Gardens applied into the outer V and crease of my eyes. Gardens is also applied to my bottom lid, tucked underneath my lashes. I finished it off with black kohl eyeliner, and a coat of mascara. Um hello gorgeous! Welcome spring, thank you very much!!

The full and detailed review after the break...

Alright then. Moving on... I made an inquiry by email on March 11th very, very early in the morning. Later that day, Rach had responded and apologized for not getting back to me sooner! Needless to say, the fact that she responded to me the same day and sent me an invoice for the colors I wanted to purchase was wonderful. Honestly, when I contact someone by email/convo, I don't mind if they respond within a 24-48 hour time period- so the fact that I had contact so quickly was really a nice surprise.

I received my package on March 15th... That following Tuesday! Shipping was incredibly fast! I received all my products in a well protected bubble mailer which I obviously dove right in to. Inside, I found my goodies wrapped in pretty blue tissue paper (which you can see hiding behind the card). Two of my full sized colors and all my sample baggies of color were packaged in a larger baggie, and three of my full sized shadows were presented in a pretty damask patterned pillow box. Tucked in with them was a Thank You card with the cutest stickers decorating it:

How sweet! I'm a sucker for anything that sparkles... Of course... It includes stickers! And the personalization of the note being included is a really nice touch! The full sized jars, as you'll see below, don't have labels on them... But as the card states, Rach will be sending me the top and bottom labels free of charge!
(and yes, I cannot wait to play and come up with different looks, thank you very much!)

Colors in jars are Liaisons, Ladies in Waiting, Musket, Revolution and Powdered Wigs. They all came sealed in a really impressive way, and personally how I like to receive my products. Each of the jars was not only shrink-wrapped, but they also had the sifter seal on inside the jar as well. Win! No chance for spillage, during transport to my mailbox, and this tells me that nobody has touched or contaminated my product since it was made.

I received a total of 14 samples, and they came in small baggies. Drool worthy, aren't they? I have a feeling I'll be ordering the full sized jars very soon... I want them all!! From eyeballing them, I'd venture to take a guess and say there's about 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of color in there. To me, that amount of product would last through quite a few different looks.

Swatches are done over MBA's Shadow-Poxy eye primer on top, and bare clean skin on the bottom to illustrate how they apply without primer. All the shadows are more intense over primer, as you'll see. And here they are...The first swatches I've ever done!!

Honestly, I wanted to see how many colors I could fit on my little arm. I think this worked alright- ha ha ha! Now in order of appearance, I have the colors listed and how I describe them.

La Gateau- A very soft, feminine yellow color... Almost like a pastel buttercup. If sunlight could be bottled, this is what it would look like. Beautiful shimmer and a pearl undertone make this a very unique color.

La Fontaine- Silver, shimmering, and it reminds me very much of iridescent fish scales. The more the color is layered, the more metallic of a finish it has without muddying up or becoming too dark.

Powdered Wigs- A perfect name for this shadow! It's a pearlized matte, with a very subtle shimmer is in this color. It's not too bright, it's not too soft- it's one of the prettiest highlighters I've found to date. Typically when I've used colors similar to this, they're too "chalky" or sparkly. This one is neither!

Icing Collection Pink- Vibrant, sweet and sexy is what comes to mind with this little beauty. It's a soft pink that packs a punch, especially in sunlight where it brings out the iridescence of a very light lavender pearl undertone.

Ladies in Waiting- A warm, pastel mauve color with a lovely pearl shimmer. A hint of peach rounds off the color and makes it quite unique in my collection. This sort of soft color would also be very pretty if used as a blush.

Liasions- Dashing. Daring. Bright. PINK! This is a sexy magenta pop of color for those who dare to step out in this show-stopping hue. And the best part? Magenta micro-glitter gives you sparkle and pizazz! There's also a pretty light purple undertone caught at certain angles.

Icing Collection Purple- A duochrome purple, with lavender and light blue tones when viewed from different angles. This is one of the prettiest in the collection! (apologies for my big vein)

Masquerade- A light, shimmering, minty fresh green. Undertones of white pearl give this color a really beautiful appearance when blended out slightly. And there's just enough sparkle in there to really make your eyes pop!

Gardens- This is a color that reminds me of peat moss- simply because of how it applies. Blended out, there's a hint of green which is the color of moss. Layered, the color builds up to an intense deep forest green. Swiped on lightly, it's a beautiful medium green. Not a color I thought I'd like- but I have turned out to adore.

Damask- A mix between aquamarine and teal, this color is multifaceted and very dimensional. Teal undertones and shimmer makes it a must-have in your collection. Applied as eyeliner, this would be a knockout!

von Fersen- Deep, dark sapphires are what comes to mind. This color sparkles and shimmers in the light. My camera does not do this hue justice. Imagine a brand new pair of gorgeous deep blue denim jeans... Add sparkle and iridescence, and this is it!!

Pomp- This color is difficult to describe, but if I had to pick something for comparison- I'd say a pumpkin. Shimmery, silky and absolutely unique from anything I've seen. Not quite orange, not a rusty color.... Just... Pretty! Depending on how the light plays, it's lighter or darker based upon the view angle.

Le Dauphin- This color likes to play too... Not quite champagne, not quite tangerine, not quite yellow... But hints of all three colors mixed together. A unique color that shifts depending on how the light illuminates it- as you can see from the large swatch photo and the smaller one.

Versailles- Burnished gold, with a gorgeous brown undertone. This has plenty of metallic pigment, and enough sparkle to captivate. This is another of the metallic colors which does not "muddy" when the color is blended. If you could gold foil your skin- this is what you'd use.

Le Chocolat- Somebody pass me a chocolate bar... This is one of the richest, sexy brown colors I've seen in a while. Straight on the color appears to be matte, but upon closer inspection there's a healthy dose of shimmer in there. Viewed from an angle, the shimmer is set off stunningly and almost becomes a gray-brown.

Louis- Rich, royal purple and blue color shifter. It looks very similar to Majesty, however there's more of a blue and violet undertone to this color along with a considerable amount more of iridescence. Turn to the side, and an explosion of deep blue emerges.

Majesty- A rich, semi-matte purple. It's not as intense as Louis, but no less pretty! This one has more of a dark purple undertone, and does not muddy when trying to blend the color. This would look beautiful if foiled or used as an eyeliner.

Musket-A true gunmetal gray, with a healthy dose of shimmer and pearl! With shimmery flecks, and metallic tones- this is sure to be a staple in your collection. It warms from a cool silver, to gunmetal, and to a dark seal gray when viewed from different angles.

Revolution- My favorite of the bunch. This is a jet-black, slightly shimmery color with red micro-glitter spread throughout is the slickest of the lot! I love creating smoky eyes, so this will be perfect to do so now! Click on the thumbnail above to check out what I mean- this color is amazing!!! You need to look at it in detail!

So there you have it- all the current colors Antoinette's Revolution Cosmetics has to offer! I know I've written a lot, but I really wanted to illustrate by pictures to you what I like about this makeup.

Customer Service: Excellent
My inquiry was responded to quickly, and Rach is extremely kind. The entire process of ordering from her was easy... And I like that!

Shipping: Excellent
I had my package well within a week- my order was placed on a Friday, and I received it that following Tuesday. Outstanding!

Presentation: Excellent
My products came well packed in a bubble mailer, to avoid damage during transit, and wrapped in tissue paper for further protection. I love when a handwritten note is included- and this I did receive, even with stickers! That little personalization adds a whole lot of reassurance to me when I purchase a product. It tells me I'm a customer, not just another number in line to order products.

Packaging: Excellent
While I expect samples to come in baggies (as is pretty much the norm for companies who offer them), I was very comforted to see that my full sized jars were shrink-wrapped and had sifter seals on each one. This shows me that my product has been made in a sanitary environment, and sealed there as well.

Product: Excellent
Well, of course I dove right into my makeup. I'm not crazy about how the colors weren't that pigmented applied without primer, but since I use primer each time I apply makeup... The colors went on smoothly,  highly pigmented, blended like a dream, and didn't "muddy" or create much fallout at all. A little goes a long way, and the intensity of these few colors is leaving me anxious to see what others will inevitably be added to the collection. On a side note- they aren't chalky or difficult to pick up at all.

Con:
I didn't have an invoice. I know, quite a small thing to not be absolutely happy with- but I do have an electronic copy in my email. I do prefer to have a hard copy sent to me- this shows that orders are being matched up and itemized correctly. Again- this isn't a huge deal to me, just something that would have been nice to see included. It doesn't negatively impact my overall opinion about ARC.

Conclusion: Would I purchase products and/or recommend products from this company to others?
Yes. I would. I like the long lasting wear of these cosmetics, the diversity and complexity of the shadows themselves, and the near effortless way they apply. They're not chalky or difficult to work with, and the colors are pretty unique compared to everything currently in my stash. You can't go wrong with the price either!

Thanks for sticking around for the long read... But I'd much rather have you informed, than guessing what you're getting!

Thank You Rach for making some terrific makeup!
