Get the Look - The Sexy Pinup With a Dark Twist

Updated 03/05/2011 & 03/06/2011

This is strictly my own personal opinion about the matter. All material uncovered was done through a public google internet search with a few different keyword entries.

Due to information uncovered and revealed about this company, I cannot in good conscience or good faith recommend anyone support this reportedly handmade, organic small business. If information had been disclosed prior to discovery by the shop owner herself, I would have no problem with continuing to purchase. Regretfully, the scope of the lie and how many different people it could have potentially affected and hurt leaves me no other choice than to say this is not an honest company to do business with.

For information as to why, you can read more below:

I'm on a kick here with incorporating some dark into my looks... So it's a pinup look, with a darker, sexier twist!

I wanted a pretty, shimmery look that wasn't the basic nude-toned colors typically seen with a Pin Up Girl's face. So I picked a berry color.... Specifically, Cranberry! I raided my stash to make sure I had all I needed to put this together... And so I did. Watch below:

There you have it! The look is quick and simple!
Wear it to work (with lighter lips), and darken up the lips for a sexy evening style!

On My Face:
Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream
e.l.f. Complexion Perfection
e.l.f. Concealer (over blemishes) & Highlighter (applied to cheekbones)
Too Faced Illuminating Foundation Wand in London Fair
e.l.f. High Definition Powder

The Eyes Have It with Orglamix Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow Colors in:
Vanilla Birthday Cake
Champagne Toast
Cranberry
Wet 'N Wild Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black
WNW Gel Eyeliner in Black
WNW MegaLength Mascara

Finish It Off:
e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Slipper
Cranberry mixed with lipstick to darken

Pucker up that pout, and you're ready to go!

Stay tuned- there's a giveaway coming up and it's a surprise!!!

It's official!

I've started a compilation of teams from you, my awesome fans, who have left comments about what colors you'd like to see done as a makeup look. So, raiding my extensive collection of colors- I'll be putting some fabulous looks together for you!!! If you'd like to see your own team done, click here to leave a comment with your team and their colors. I'll be going through the requests as they're left- so if you plan on keeping me busy, this will do it. LOL

First up to kick us off is a Hockey Team. (Yay! Go hockey! I love it almost as much as Football!)
This entire idea was kicked off and inspired by Cindy B who requested a look to wear to a game. In turn, that got the wheels in my head spinning and I figured.... Why not?! Everyone leave your team and colors!

I digress. Sorry, I'm easily distractible. I'm sure you're used to it by now, right?

Back on track. The Montreal Canadiens are the first team up on the table. Or if you want to get technically correct, will soon be out on the ice! Ha ha ha! To put together this look, I used three different shadow colors for my eyes, and one as an eyeliner darkener. Royal Bleu, Red and White! This is what resulted:

I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial- I have a feeling my kittens are gonna be crawling everywhere soon.... Looking forward to that considering they're so dang cute! They were all over my legs during the filming of this video! Hope you don't mind!

What's on my face:

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream
E.L.F. Complexion Perfection
E.L.F. Concealer
Physician's Formula: Organics Mineral Foundation

Orglamix Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow Colors:
Vanilla Birthday Cake
Saffron
Blueberry
Midnight

Finishing the Eyes:
Wet 'N Wild Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black and White
WNW MegaLength Mascara in Black

On my lips I'm wearing E.L.F. Luscious Liquid Lupstick in Caramel Candy for a little shine- and maximum moisturizing. It's awesome!

I hope you all enjoy, and I'll be seeing you with the next video shortly!

It's almost time for All Hallows Eve!
Just a few more short days, and it's here! I've got so much to do, in so little time.... Aye!

This look is dedicated to Ruth- who will be venturing out as a little red fox. My first thought was.... Ohhh how cuuuuuuute! I knew in my collection I had to put some colors together and come up with a cute look that would reflect the costume. What I did was this:

Using a grand total of three (yes, only three!) shades in my ever expanding collection of makeup.... I created Foxy Eyes! It's easy to put together, and done quickly! The reason the vid takes so long is because, as we are ALL well aware, I like to gab!

To get down to the nitty gritty, the cosmetics on my face are as follows:

Face:

Nivea Soft moisturizing face cream
E.L.F. Zit Zapper (on blemishes)
E.L.F. Complexion Perfection (under eyes, around nose & mouth)
E.L.F. Concealer and Highlighter Duo
Physicians Formula: Organics Mineral Foundation in Translucent
E.L.F. High Definition Powder (translucent)

Eyes:
Orglamix Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadows in Mandarin and Vanilla Birthday Cake
Moi Minerals Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow in (*)Rockstar Red.
Wet 'N Wild Silver Glitter Liner
WNW Gel Liner in Black
WNW MegaLength Mascara in Black
WNW Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black
WNW Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in White
Feather Fetish Lashes by Fantasy Wear (Wet 'N Wild)
*found at Spirit Halloween Store

Mouth:
Ulta Lip Liner in Berry
E.L.F. Lipstick in (not sure which color! I'll get it soon!)

Happy Halloween my ghouls and goblins!
xoxoxo ~*SP

(*)This color was sent to me free of charge to review and play with.

Get the Look - Jack-O-Lantern Halloween Fun

I love pumpkins. I love trick-or-treating.
Yes, I know I'm nearly 30..... But I don't act it. If I could walk around this year- you betcha I'd be collecting free candy! Everyone always thinks I'm a teenager anyways... hahahaha.... Reeses Peanut butter cups are my favorite!!!

Ok, before I get totally side-tracked, I'll try to stay on course. Up this day is a Halloween inspired eye- of course! It's only a few days- and All Hallows Eve is upon us! What better way to show how much you like the season than a sexy black and orange eye. Yes, you read it right. Orange on your eyes. For real?!
[nods yes]

I'd have to say I have the fondest memories of being a kid and going to pick out a pumpkin each year at the local pumpkin patch. The hayrides were my favorite part, and I always got to watch my brother and sisters to make sure they stayed close. And not get a pumpkin like mine. I would always pick out the one that was a little crooked, funny, not perfect. Mom liked the round and nice looking ones. My brother always picked the biggest one he could carry. And my sisters, well, they were fans of symmetrical too. I always liked the ones that weren't quite like the others.

For this creepy Jack-O-Lantern inspired look, I've used Moi Minerals Cosmetics Haunted House collection of mineral eye shadows. The colors are: Bark at the Moon (white), Black Cat (black with gold sparks), Headless Horseman (bright orange with pink undertones), and Goblin (color shifter blue/green). I did, of course, prime my eyes before applying the shadows dry. For a more intense look- you can certainly foil the colors when you put them on.

Additionally on my face is:

Too Faced Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation in London Fair
Physicians Formula: Organics Mineral Foundation in Translucent
E.L.F. Complexion Perfection quad to brighten and neutralize reds, blues and grays in face
E.L.F. All Over Color Stick applied under my eyes in Apricot Beige
E.L.F. Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Wet 'N Wild Black Kohl Eyeliner, and MegaLength Mascara
Orglamix mineral eye-shadow in Red Currant, applied as blush

Lips:
Ulta double ended lipliner in Nude/Berry
E.L.F. Lipstick in Candlelight

Taaaa-daaaaaaa!!!!!!!
Hope you have a spooky week my lovelies- and be on the lookout for local ghouls!

Thank you awesome friends for coming by..... [cackle]

Too Cute to Pass Up - Paul & Joe Kitty Lipstick

I've been poking around a bit online today... And OMG- I had to share these...

Don't worry, I'll have eye pictures to post later on this afternoon... But I had to share this with everyone! I just about died when I saw this... Because, well it's really cute. And well, I'm totally a cat person. And... It's kitty cat faces on lipstick. Wild!!!!! I love it!

Dedicated to my friend, Feline, who I'm sure will get a wild kick out of this post!!!

Click here to be taken to the original link site.

So this creative lipwear is from Paul & Joe Beaute and I don't care at this moment that it's not mineral makeup... I'd buy these little lipsticks... Just because of the fact that they're cats!!!!!! I'd put them on a shelf and display them... Because, as well as having a cute lil kitty face- the containers the lipsticks are in are very pretty too...

Shades of pink are purrrrrfect- and see what I mean about the containers?!

Meow, meow meow meow...
