Today is definitely one of those days I wished I had a more "alternative" wardrobe. Of course, this is influenced by my sassy, take no crap mood. It's Monday- I'm surprised I'm so motivated! Ha!

I was poking around online, and came across one of my "forgotten" sites that I always used to check out... Forget Goth Topic, this site is so much better! For those of you that have a punkish-pinup girl- sexy retro-rocker chick streak, you'll definitely love some of the finds here. Now, I'm not exactly crazy about some of the way tatted up gals rocking some of the clothing... But hey, whatever floats your boat, eh? The prints and clothes speak themselves... And I'm dying to get some of these into my collection. However, seeing as I'm not working right now because of my screwy back and I'm off my feet... I'm left to devices and daydreaming about things I want. Usually. Like the Tee below... I love comfort. I love looking good. Skulls rock. Therefore, it's a no brainer!

One musing the other day was about my weight.
Now, I've always been a curvy girl. Always. I think the last time I was a size 8 anything was either shoes which were too big, or when I was a Freshman in high school and I had a gorgeous champagne gown I wore to a dance. I still have it. Ahhh, memories! Back then- it was cool to be thin. And not just thin, but like Calvin Klein heroin-addict looking thin. And oh did I want to be one of the skinny chicks. Lucky for me, my body never followed my wishes- and today I'm still a proud curvy girl. Now, over the last 10 months I've lost 60 lbs. Not the traditional way, but because of medications I've been taking in order to help heal my back. Long story short- I have no appetite, usually forget to eat, with the result being I have my waist back. I have my curvy hips, and I wish I were able to wear heels. It's going to be a while before I can, and for the most part I've accepted it... But I can dream. And work on my shape!
And I really, really, really want this:
Wench Dress- Pinstripe from TooFastOnline |
Talk about a bombshell dress.... And I have an addiction and obsession with corsets. Ahhh, I can dream!
LOVE that corset dress! hope you're feeling better soon and able to prance around in that paired with 5 inch heels!
ReplyDeleteI love that off the shoulder sweater! So cute!
ReplyDeleteOoh, the dress!! I have one similar in a non-punkish way. Well, what a woman's dream, to take a pill and lose weight, right? But of course, the reality is a lot less nice, it sounds like. I hope your back is better ASAP so you can show off like you deserve to :D
ReplyDelete@Dr. ExGF: I'd be a whole 5 foot 7 with heels that big... LOL!
ReplyDelete@Kimberly M: Yes, that one immediately caught my eye!
@Erin: Sooo jealous! Ick, the pills I have... No appetite, and food smells repulsive. I'd rather do it the good way- work out, eat right... LOL
wow, the bloody shirt kinda scared me, but the other clothes were pretty cute :)
